Freedom Story: From Kip USA Courtesy Notice Because I had no computer at the time, I made a "Courtesy call" to the Credit Union, to inform them that I would no longer being sending them payments for the truck I was living in at the time. I eventually spoke to the VP of collections, and referred him to the OPPT website for details of the foreclosure. Because I stopped believing in money as anything other than "resources in suspension", I had previously detached from a mortgage, student loan and several credit cards. This was prompted by a layoff and ever-increasing urge to wake-up. Detaching from the CU/Auto loan was simply another action of peaceful non-compliance. I left the Portland, OR, area on 12/12/2024 and began living 'on the road', with no address other than Planet Earth. I've since landed in Northern Arizona, where I found work supporting a small, family-owned business. I recently began bartering for a place to stay, with another family-owned business, and now live on a beautiful piece of land with a stream running by and a 500+ year old tree watching over me. Because I had a credit card with the CU, and because they cross-collateralize across all of ones accounts, I was convinced that I should roll the credit card balance into the auto loan. This did not affect my monthly payment amount, but extended the payments by several years. This was done several months before the OPPT filings, so it was the only way I knew to keep the truck I would soon be living in. Had I known of the impending foreclosures, I may have chosen otherwise.
