‘quick but CB Hilarity’ Pool Store Encounter

Hello BZ!!
Happy…Wednesday? Lol, I swear I am losing track of minutes and days lately. There’s just so much going on everywhere, and it was nice to catch the Love Juggernaut CC on the train out to LI today.
Not sure what you’re up to tomorrow, but rain or shine I’ll be hanging w the cool Maple in Forest Hills, as I need a bit of Nature.
I’m ALL in, and while I AM loving every experience and interaction, the situation with my Parents is calling to put into practice what I know and what I’m discovering, alongside some who just don’t see things the way I do….Which is so ok, lol, but also means that we’ll just have to approach their care from our perspectives, with our skillsets if you will, with the common goal of just being there for them in Love.
Anyway, had a ‘quick but CB Hilarity’ Pool Store encounter on a recent trip, which reminded me that things are just different, in the most amazing ways, if you just open your heart first and foremost. I was behind a couple in Line, who directed me to another line that was shorter. Now the shorter line was a scene of chaos, returns/exchanges, so I went back to the original spot, and we joked about the dude sending me into chaos. He was wearing a Vietnam Vet Hat, and it got me thinking of this experience I had being part of a team that created and taught in a cool program for Vets called “No Man is an Island”. How true is that!! Man meaning Women and Men of course, as if .
It was one of the most enriching experiences of my Life, and those dudes and ladies absolutely deserve their own story, party, lol, and shout outs (quick one to Joe though, the WWII vet that I spent an amazing afternoon with-part of the program was me going out to set up home computers for Vets, as the end gift of their participation in the class I taught…awesome!).
(Lot of I’s up there and in there, lol, but you ALL know it’s really about the people, lessons, creations and experiences. They taught me a lot about Love, and where we’re at today, and continue to)
Ok, so back to the pool store. Talked a bit about the love and work for Veterans, and turns out they were from Queens, not too far from where I am. Of course, Lol. They finished up their purchase, and the Vet reminds me how Discipline is so important, and to message that to any students I work with. (Um ok, I’ll tell my Students, lol. ?)
When I get to the cashier, she began to ask me a series of questions. The first were ok, an email address/number to look me up in the system. Now as I visiting my parents, my name wasn’t there. So the questions continued, name, address, phone number, alternate number, secondary contact info….
“Little much for buying a 6ft pool hose, no?”, I thought aloud, lol, and the woman behind me just cracked up in agreement. Now the chaos scene in the other line was somewhat negative, but this just made me laugh as I went in with an Open Heart.
Nothing against the cashier, as she was doing her job, but I decided to add to the information while we were at it, and share my love of dogs, cats, pizza, cooking, swimming, and the beach, . May as well know Me, lol.
This led to a humorous conversation about things not being what they seem with the amazing woman behind me in line, and she graciously offered up her email address so I could buy my….pool hose. Turns out she was a retired teacher who taught in….not even gonna say it, lol, who moved out to LI and loves it. Amazing! Also loves cats and pizza, but not so much the beach. All Love, lol. Felt like I made 3 new friends, well 4 if you count the super helpful floor worker who talked to me like a family member. It matters, as we are family. 😉
Things are not what they seem indeed, there’s an amazing world that’s growing exponentially, and thanks to you, the CC crew, the TN Amazingness, and ALL friends for ALL you do everyday. KACB’s, every single one of us. Believe it. Know it. Love you for it.
I am looking forward to chatting!!! Anastasia says hello, she’s not a fan of the A/C in the least, lol, but is cool now that she got her new spot with more sunlight, and has grown so much. Happy Trees, Happy Me!
Huge Hugs and Love!!
